David Abrevaya

David Abrevaya is an illustrator, instructor, and arts advocate currently serving as the 2024-2025 Artist Chair for the Business Improvement District (BID) and a member of the Board of Directors for the Peekskill Arts Alliance (PAA). With a career rooted in creativity and collaboration, David brings a wealth of experience and passion to his leadership roles. As a full-time illustrator at SalesOne, David works alongside a talented team to partner with globally recognized brands, including Marvel, Lucasfilm, Nickelodeon, and Warner Bros. These collaborations have expanded his artistic scope and provided opportunities to contribute to iconic projects in the entertainment industry. In addition to his professional work, David is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists as an art instructor at the Westchester Community College in Peekskill, where he inspires students in a dynamic and creative environment. David’s artistic journey began at Westchester Community College, where he first honed his craft, later earning a B.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts. Early in his career, he collaborated as a storyboard artist with industry leaders such as Google, Yahoo, and NBC gaining critical skills that have shaped his success as a versatile illustrator. His artwork has been exhibited in esteemed venues throughout New York and Westchester, including the Mehu Gallery, the Society of Illustrators, the Lofts on Main, and the Poe Park Gallery. Notably, David contributed to the "Wall of Legends," a 540-foot mural banner at Memorial Field in Mount Vernon, NY, created in collaboration with City Hall to celebrate and uplift the community.
