UPCOMING EVENTS

LOOKING FORWARD
Looking Forward, a members’ show, is a selection of works—one from each artist—loosely based on the theme. Our diverse group of members includes artists of every level. From photography to sculpture and performance, from abstract to realistic, the common denominator is an optimism as we look ahead. A love of nature and an engagement with materials is demonstrated here.

PAA RESPONSE TO BLACK LIVES MATTER
In the wake of the tragic killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many other Black Americans, we at the Peekskill Arts Alliance stand in solidarity with the Black community and people of color in calling for justice and an end to the systemic racism that plagues our country. We acknowledge the outrage, frustration and fear that so many experience firsthand and commit to carefully examine ways that we contribute to social and racial injustice and to begin making meaningful changes.
During this time of deep mourning and reflection, made more complicated by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has disproportionately affected communities of color, the Peekskill Arts Alliance affirms our commitment to equal rights, treatment, respect and opportunities for all. We are committed to creating an environment that supports and promotes diversity among artists and our community and will work diligently to expand diversity and inclusion in our organization.
