Carol Herd-Rodriguez
The natural world, including rocks, vegetation, waters, and light, as well as characteristics of the artist Carol Herd-Rodriguez’s personal experience, influences her work. She creates her art from a position of awe, reverence, and amazement to convey the visceral experience of “moreness” or that which exists beyond seeing.
After receiving her BFA with a concentration in Sculpture and papermaking at SUNY Purchase, she received a full scholarship to attend the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana where she earned her MFA.
Carol paints daily and keeps her studio in the river towns along the Hudson River. She has been exhibiting her work professionally for more than three decades. Her art is held in many corporate and private collections.
