I have a BA with Honors in Fine Arts from Brandeis University, an MA in Art Education from New York University, plus numerous other classes and workshops from the Art Students’ League, New School for Social Workshop, etc. I taught painting, collage and more in diverse settings to adults and children.
I love to paint and create art and I love nature. Using the mediums of oil, gouache, and watercolor and assorted printmaking techniques, my work expresses the mysteries, energies, beauty, patterns, and rhythms of the world as I experience it. My approach combines the best features of abstraction with organic representational imagery. Through light, color, and composition I draw the viewer into a sense of the moment within my land/seascapes, botanicals, contemporary still lifes, and animal paintings and prints. Whether working in the studio or in plein aire, I choose themes that will be visually strong and dramatic, with colors and forms which interact in a healing harmonious way.
