James Sparks

I am professional artist/educator who works in the realist tradition with occasional experiments with surrealism and fantasy. I have been painting and exhibiting for more than forty five years and try not to type cast myself, but I enjoy the challenge of seeking order and meaning in the complexity and chaos of nature. I have been for twenty two years an Adjunct Professor of Drawing, Life Modeling and Photography, as well as Art History at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, New York.
