Oils and watercolor are my forte. Oils give me complete control when painting, especially with water and sky. My land/waterscapes and portraits are meticulous and bold. I work well with light and contrast. My watercolor work is fresh and spontaneous. Working in the 2 very different mediums are definitely affecting each other spurring new ideas and techniques all the time.
My studies began with illustration, design and commercial art at Pace University, NY. Fine art, graphic art and web design at WCC, SUNY Westchester, NY. I’ve studied painting styles and technique with accomplished artist Ed Burke and portrait painting from renowned artist Andrew Lattimore. I have had many other private teachers and workshops along the way to now with continuous proliferation as my best teacher.
I am part of the Peekskill Arts Alliance and previously served as a board member. My work has been shown at many venues in New York, some of them being: Howland Art Center, Katonah Museum, Garrison Art Center, Paramount Center for the Arts, Blue Door Gallery, Ceres Gallery and Skylight Gallery in Chelsea in NYC and I’ve been represented at Gallery 66 in Cold Spring.
My mission is to stay true to what I’m feeling as I paint and express it with boldness, intensity and light. My purpose is to listen to my inner, “Woman on Fire” and to forever remain true to myself.
