We look forward to the 27th Annual Open Studios!
Since 1997, art enthusiasts from the Tri-State area and greater Hudson Valley have come to Peekskill on the first weekend in June to meet YOU, the artist, and learn about your work first hand. All Open Studio events are free and open to the public.
Registration with payment and image upload is due by midnight on April 29, 2026. (Registration closes after April 29.)
You must be a member of the Peekskill Arts Alliance to participate in Open Studios. Want to join the PAA? Click here to become a member.
1. If you have a studio in Downtown Peekskill or at the Hat Factory, you may open it up to visitors who wish to come and see your work and your process firsthand.
Don’t have a studio in Downtown Peekskill? Try one of these options:
2. Off the Beaten Track (OBT) is a group exhibit held at Westchester Community College (WCC). Visual artists must submit up to two pieces for consideration. Film and video artists may submit one or two films/videos for consideration.
Art drop off Tuesday, 6/2: 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm
Art reception on Wednesday evening, 6/17: 6:00-8:00
Art pick up Tuesday, 6/30: 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm
3. Tent Site Gallery in the K-Lot parking lot offers artists and artisans an opportunity to show a body of work in their own (or shared by 2-people) 10’ x 10’ tent. Tents and 40 lb. of weights (10 lbs. for each corner) must be provided by the artists. The PAA provides overnight security, but valuables should not be left overnight. As in past years, artists in the Tent Site Gallery will have access to the bathroom in the Chamber of Commerce across the street. (A PAA board member at the Tent Site will provide the key.)
4. Some local Peekskill galleries, such as the Chamber of Commerce Gallery and The Artists’ Spot may be available as exhibition space for artists. Rental arrangements and coordination is the responsibility of the artist. The PAA will include those venues in promotional materials if the information is submitted by the registration due date. As always, local Peekskill galleries are enthusiastically welcome to participate in Open Studios.
Note: Due to planned construction at the Gazebo, the Open Studios information site will be at the Open Studios Information Center in Postcard Park across from the Gazebo on the corner of Central and Division. This year we’ll be supplying printed informational maps instead of a booklet.
Photos or video taken during Open Studios (including preparation for Open Studios) may be posted by the PAA to our website and/or social media platforms.
• Registration is due by April 29, 2026.
• The Open Studios Registration fee for ALL artists (Off the Beaten Track at WCC, Tent Site Gallery in the K-Lot, and artists’ studios) is $40.
• An additional $40 will be required to participate in the Tent Site Gallery (to cover security and rental fee for the K-Lot parking lot) for a total fee of $80.
• Gallery registration is $50 per gallery.
